About
We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse and supporting our overall logistics strategy. You will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the facility, ensuring that inventory is transported efficiently and safely from receiving to storage, and from storage to the production or shipping areas. This involves operating various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Maintaining an organized and clean work environment is a key aspect of this role, contributing to both efficiency and Safety. Adherence to all company Safety policies and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. This role requires physical fitness, reliability, and a commitment to workplace Safety. Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock placement and retrieval.
- Ensure all materials are handled according to Safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free from hazards.
- Wear required PPE at all times while performing duties.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Must be able to handle frequent and substantial Lifting of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Certification for operating forklifts is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and significant Lifting throughout the shift.
- Strong understanding of logistics flow within a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
