About
We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is integral to our warehouse logistics, ensuring that materials are handled correctly and efficiently to support all inbound and outbound operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload pallets and merchandise from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safe passage for pedestrians and other equipment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations by performing tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve manual lifting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and material handling.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in a logistics or distribution environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
