Our Orlando, Florida facility is seeking a diligent Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. This role is integral to the efficient movement and organization of goods within our logistics network. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, and all employees are required to follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team. You will handle a variety of materials, ensuring they are properly managed and tracked. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure correct use of PPE at all times.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Support other warehouse functions as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
