Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with efficiency and care.
- Transport materials and products to designated storage or staging areas.
- Stack and retrieve inventory using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring unobstructed pathways.
- Strictly follow all safety protocols and regulations, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize workflow.
- Report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current, valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform occasional moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs) as part of duties.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
