We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of materials within our logistics center. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper working order and adherence to Safety standards.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
- Must be able to perform occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of Safety practices and procedures for forklift operation.
- Ability to perform required Lifting duties occasionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
