Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or other warehouse functions.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is a plus.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment and safety best practices.
- Strong understanding of the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
