About
Our Atlanta, Georgia facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all inventory-related activities, including cycle counting, stocktaking, discrepancy investigation, and system reconciliation. Your goal will be to ensure that our inventory records are precise and reflect the physical stock at all times, which is crucial for efficient logistics and order fulfillment. You will utilize various tools and systems, including warehouse management software (WMS) and scanning equipment, to monitor inventory levels and identify potential issues. This role requires a meticulous approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. Adherence to safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is essential for this position. The role may involve some lifting and requires physical mobility within the warehouse. We are committed to a safe and efficient logistics environment, and you will play a key part in maintaining inventory integrity. Understanding safe lifting practices and hazard identification will be part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Work with receiving and shipping departments to reconcile stock.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE, and promote a safe working environment.
