We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for ensuring all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, maintaining proper documentation, and coordinating with carriers. This role is vital to our supply chain operations and requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. You will be an integral part of our fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other shipping documentation.
- Verify that all outgoing shipments match order details and are properly packaged.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and, when necessary, customers.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- Operate shipping software and equipment, such as scales and pallet jacks.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular audits of shipping records for accuracy.
- Assist with inventory management and receiving tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
