Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our operations in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. Your efforts will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics operations and ensure that we have the right stock available at the right time. This position requires a keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of warehouse processes. We emphasize a safe working environment, and you will be expected to uphold all Safety standards, including proper use of PPE and safe handling practices, especially when dealing with material movement or Lifting. Your contribution is vital to preventing loss and optimizing stock.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Reconcile inventory records with physical stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items.
- Comply with all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with logistics planning and stock management.
- Ensure proper use of PPE during inventory checks, which may involve some Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in inventory control software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Commitment to Safety and established protocols.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be comfortable in a warehouse environment, adhering to PPE requirements.
