Our growing logistics company in Raleigh, North Carolina is looking for a dedicated Shipping Clerk to manage outbound shipments. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be the gatekeeper for ensuring that products leave our facility accurately, on time, and in compliance with all regulations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving within our fast-paced warehouse environment. You will play a key part in our supply chain, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to our overall efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments with speed and accuracy.
- Generate and affix correct shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Schedule carrier pickups and track shipments.
- Perform quality checks on packed items before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping logs.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and customer service regarding shipment status.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Support inventory counts and discrepancy resolutions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a similar shipping or administrative role is beneficial.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to handle lifting up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is an advantage.
