About
We are searching for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is critical for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse infrastructure, including automated systems and material handling equipment. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions, and ensuring all systems are functioning optimally. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within a logistics environment is essential. Safety is paramount in this role; technicians must be proficient in all safety protocols, including the safe operation of machinery, lockout/tagout procedures, and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will have a solid background in industrial maintenance or a related field, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and productive workplace. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, sorters, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with warehouse machinery.
- Conduct safety inspections of all equipment and work areas, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of repairs and services performed.
- Ensure the proper functioning of material handling equipment to support logistics operations.
- Follow strict safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Operate forklifts and other lifting devices safely when required for maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and equipment operation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role in a logistics or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with automated warehouse systems and material handling equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery.
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout and the use of PPE.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Must be able to perform occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
