About
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, picking orders, and preparing items for shipment. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move and stock materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Pick items accurately according to order requirements.
- Pack and prepare materials for shipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate all warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including consistent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics flow.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
- Good communication skills.
