Join our dynamic team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for a certified and experienced individual to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. This critical role involves operating forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and support production. A strong commitment to **safety**, adherence to **PPE** requirements, and a proven track record of safe operation are essential. The ability to perform **lifting** with forklift attachments and coordinate with the **logistics** team is key. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure **safety** and functionality.
- Follow all **safety** guidelines and company policies.
- Wear appropriate **PPE** at all times while operating equipment or in the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support the **logistics** team with timely movement of goods.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or **safety** concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA). Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Ability to perform **lifting** and material handling tasks using equipment. Strong understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE** requirements. Knowledge of **logistics** operations and inventory flow. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass a background check and drug screening. This role requires dexterity and focus, with **lifting** capabilities up to 50 lbs indirectly through equipment.
