We are looking for a dependable Material Handler to join our busy logistics hub in Fort Worth, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring a steady and efficient workflow. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, sort, and transport goods. Accuracy and efficiency are key to maintaining our operational momentum. You will play a vital role in inventory management, receiving, and shipping processes, ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time. A strong commitment to safety is essential, as you will be operating heavy machinery. We provide thorough training on equipment operation and safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable, and has a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing freight.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of inventory.
- Stage materials for shipping and picking operations.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
