Seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our Boise, Idaho facility! We need a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials. This position is vital to the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics processes, ensuring efficient material handling and inventory management. You will be responsible for performing daily equipment checks, adhering to strict safety protocols, and maintaining an organized work area. A strong commitment to safety, including the correct and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as part of the broader logistics team.
- Contribute to maintaining efficient material flow and productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and consistent use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
