Job Summary:
Seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our warehouse inventory, directly impacting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction within our logistics network. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting regular audits, and ensuring that stock levels are precise and up-to-date. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, including overages, shortages, and damages.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Manage stock rotation, ensuring FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles are followed.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
  • Work closely with receiving, picking, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Maintain a safe and organized inventory storage area, adhering to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and WMS software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, including the appropriate use of PPE.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
