In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. A strong commitment to Safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the proper use of PPE are non-negotiable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload inventory from trucks and trailers.
- Stack and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport goods to and from shipping, receiving, and storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and logistics operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to Safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be willing to wear and use all required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Dependable and punctual.
