Our growing logistics company in Cincinnati, Ohio, is looking for a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement procedures to prevent stock adjustments. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving. Your duties will include monitoring stock levels, reconciling discrepancies between physical counts and system records, and identifying root causes of inventory inaccuracies. You will work closely with various warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient product flow. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce stock loss.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to ensure proper product handling and storage.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate inventory capture.
- Prepare inventory reports for management review.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in WMS software and inventory management techniques. Ability to perform detailed record-keeping and data entry. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with safety protocols in a warehouse environment, including proper use of PPE. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform warehouse tasks. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
