About
We are looking for a motivated and organized Warehouse Coordinator to manage daily warehouse operations in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This key role involves overseeing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials through the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in logistics .
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, Safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff, providing guidance on best practices and procedures.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layouts and storage methods.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary, ensuring proper use of PPE .
- Monitor warehouse efficiency and implement improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Responsible for the physical demands of the role, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse coordination or supervision.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
