About
Our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Baltimore, Maryland is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to support our daily operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can maintain and troubleshoot warehouse equipment, ensure operational readiness, and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment. You will play a key role in ensuring our equipment runs smoothly, minimizing downtime, and supporting the overall productivity of our warehouse. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Ensure all equipment is operating within safety parameters and in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Ensure the proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to identify potential equipment issues and suggest preventative measures.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed, which may include some Lifting and material handling.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in equipment maintenance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or associate’s degree in a related field are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical systems, or a similar technical role within a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of industrial Safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with Preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting and physical dexterity.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
