Job Summary:
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our Richmond, Virginia warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be vital to our daily logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout the facility. This role requires a keen understanding of forklift operation, a commitment to Safety, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. You will be responsible for moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining accurate inventory placement.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks and trailers.
  • Transport materials to and from designated warehouse areas, including storage racks.
  • Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  • Assist with order picking and put-away of inventory as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by ensuring proper placement and scanning of goods.
  • Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE use.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Occasional requirement for Lifting and moving items up to 60 lbs.
  • Follow all logistics and warehouse operational procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and OSHA regulations.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
