We are hiring a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our modern distribution center in Seattle, Washington. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of specialized material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve inventory at various heights. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that product is accessible and stored correctly to maintain optimal warehouse flow. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating a reach truck and a solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Perform pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting and equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and system updates.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas.
- Inspect products for damage during handling and report any issues.
- Adhere to all site-specific safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members and supervisors.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck (certification is a plus and may be required).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate other material handling equipment is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
