Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stage materials for order picking, shipping, and receiving.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Inspect equipment for safety issues before operation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding material status.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (certification may be required or provided).
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy objects.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Understanding of inventory management principles.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Awareness of the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Familiarity with general logistics operations.
