We have an immediate opening for a Receiving Clerk at our busy warehouse in Miami, Florida. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently into our logistics system. Your duties will include unloading shipments, inspecting items for damage, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and stocking received goods in their designated locations. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment are crucial. This role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damages and discrepancies
- Verify quantity and quality of goods against purchase orders and invoices
- Accurately document all received items into the inventory system
- Stock received goods in appropriate warehouse locations
- Report any damages or discrepancies to supervisor immediately
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Assist with inventory counts as needed
