We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our San Antonio, Texas logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe handling of materials within our warehouse, supporting both inbound and outbound logistics operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will be instrumental in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide all necessary PPE. This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting, and requires a valid forklift operator certification. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stack and retrieve pallets and inventory accurately.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Follow logistics plans and instructions for material movement.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Dependable and able to work flexible hours if needed.
