We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory records, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and errors. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential for success. This is a critical position that ensures the smooth operation of our logistics functions. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status to management.
- Identify and address damaged or expired stock.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure correct stock placement.
- Ensure adherence to all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE in inventory areas.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role is required.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and movement of inventory.
- Understanding of general warehouse Safety procedures.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
