About
We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other industrial equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods. Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all company Safety policies, including the proper use of PPE, is paramount. This role requires precision, reliability, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, tier, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring secure placement of goods.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment, identifying and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Organize inventory in designated storage areas to maximize space and facilitate easy access.
- Follow all established warehouse Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly.
- Assist with other warehouse functions such as order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals and meet deadlines.
- Understand and implement best practices in logistics and material handling.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with verifiable experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with inventory control and logistics processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
