Job Summary:
Join our thriving Distribution Center in Chicago, Illinois, as a Distribution Center Associate. This role is integral to our logistics network, ensuring the seamless movement of goods from receipt to shipment. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving inventory, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments. We are dedicated to providing a safe and efficient working environment, emphasizing teamwork and best practices in warehouse operations. Your contribution will directly impact our ability to serve our customers effectively. Strict adherence to Safety guidelines and the correct use of PPE are non-negotiable.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
  • Pick and pack orders with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the entire distribution center.
  • Participate in inventory management, including cycle counting and stocktaking.
  • Adhere to all company Safety standards and wear required PPE.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and productivity targets.
  • Support the broader logistics functions of the facility.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 55 lbs.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong commitment to workplace Safety.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
