Our expanding facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a talented Warehouse Coordinator to manage and optimize our warehouse operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational and leadership skills to oversee daily activities, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in inventory management, order processing, and team coordination. The Warehouse Coordinator is pivotal in maintaining smooth Logistics flow and upholding high standards of operational excellence and Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
- Supervise warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure stock accuracy.
- Implement and enforce Safety regulations, ensuring adherence to all protocols.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and Logistics best practices.
- Promote a culture of Safety, including proper training on Lifting techniques and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules to meet demand and delivery targets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records and generate operational reports.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar supervisory role within Logistics. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Safety procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting. Familiarity with warehouse management software. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure.
