We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of inventory within our San Diego, California facility. This crucial role supports our **logistics** and supply chain operations by ensuring precise tracking of all stock, minimizing discrepancies, and implementing effective inventory management strategies. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all storage locations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Process all inventory adjustments, receipts, and transfers in the inventory management system.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and obsolescence.
- Collaborate with warehouse and **logistics** teams to optimize stock rotation and flow.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on proper inventory handling procedures.
- Enforce **safety** protocols and ensure compliance with **PPE** requirements for all inventory-related activities.
- Generate reports on inventory status, turnover, and discrepancies for management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, **logistics**, or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Understanding of warehouse **safety** practices and the importance of **PPE**.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
