Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of inventory within our San Diego, California facility. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all storage locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Process all inventory adjustments, receipts, and transfers in the inventory management system.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and **logistics** teams to optimize stock rotation and flow.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Train and guide warehouse staff on proper inventory handling procedures.
  • Enforce **safety** protocols and ensure compliance with **PPE** requirements for all inventory-related activities.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, turnover, and discrepancies for management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, **logistics**, or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Understanding of warehouse **safety** practices and the importance of **PPE**.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
