Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to production or shipping areas.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming goods, verifying quantities and condition.
- Stage materials for production or shipment as required.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to **safety** regulations.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with inventory adjustments.
- Wear appropriate **PPE** at all times while operating equipment or in designated areas.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a focus on operational efficiency and **safety**.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or with similar equipment is highly desirable.
- Certification for forklift operation is a plus.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including **lifting** up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and the importance of **PPE**.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong commitment to workplace **safety**.
