As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to our daily logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is transported, stored, and retrieved accurately and timely. You will operate various types of forklifts, performing tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, and stocking shelves. A strong commitment to safety is essential, including adherence to all operational procedures, daily equipment checks, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform regular lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
