We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position is vital for the efficient movement of goods, requiring a skilled operator to manage inventory and facilitate shipping and receiving. You will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all goods.
- Transport products to and from different areas of the facility.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and wear designated PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Follow established Lifting procedures to prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with the Logistics team to ensure smooth workflow.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certifications and enhance skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrable experience.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Familiarity with Logistics and material handling equipment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
