We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, organizing, and managing materials throughout the facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading shipments, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, operating material handling equipment, and assisting with inventory counts. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, and all employees are required to strictly adhere to safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting of heavy items, often exceeding 50 pounds, as well as excellent hand-eye coordination. You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our logistics hub. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently according to training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Support the Logistics team in achieving daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent, heavy Lifting (50+ lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and the correct use of PPE.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to Safety.
