Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our warehouse in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately processing all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading freight, verifying order accuracy, inspecting goods for damage, and entering received items into our inventory system. This role is a critical component of our Logistics chain, requiring a strong emphasis on accuracy and adherence to Safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect received goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Tag and route received items to appropriate storage locations or departments.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE .
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and stockroom organization.
  • Communicate any receiving discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure efficient flow of goods from receiving to inventory, supporting overall Logistics operations.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role is preferred. Must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including Lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of warehouse procedures and Safety regulations. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Willingness to wear appropriate PPE . Good communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with WMS software and basic Logistics principles is advantageous. Reliability and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records are essential.
