Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse facility in Chicago, Illinois. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transferring inventory, and assisting with stock placement and retrieval. A strong focus on Safety , adherence to operational procedures, and proficiency in forklift operation are essential for success in this position within our Logistics department.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper handling and securement.
  • Move inventory to and from storage areas, racks, and production lines.
  • Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
  • Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including traffic rules within the warehouse.
  • Wear and properly use all required PPE , such as safety shoes, vests, and helmets.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as required.
  • Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, crucial for efficient Logistics .

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification (e.g., OSHA). Must be proficient in operating various types of forklifts and able to perform tasks involving Lifting and maneuvering heavy loads. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles. Excellent knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. Willingness to wear all mandated PPE . Good communication and teamwork skills. Must have a strong safety record and be committed to accident-free operations. This role is key to our distribution and supply chain efficiency.
