About
Our Columbus, Ohio facility is looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for all goods entering our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include verifying incoming orders against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory system. This position is vital to the integrity of our supply chain and logistics operations. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure all deliveries are processed accurately and efficiently. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role. You will be responsible for maintaining organized receiving docks and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and on time. This role requires the ability to handle physical tasks, including Lifting boxes and moving pallets. Safety is a top priority, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety procedures and utilize the required PPE at all times. Your role contributes directly to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. We are looking for someone who is proactive, a good communicator, and committed to upholding our high standards of service and operational excellence within the logistics field.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to management.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area.
- Coordinate with logistics and shipping departments for timely processing.
- Ensure proper handling of materials, adhering to Lifting guidelines.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE during receiving operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all inbound logistics.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
