About
We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate in Baltimore, Maryland to support our fast-paced logistics operations. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth flow of goods from our distribution center to our customers. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse management, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and document any variances.
- Sort and store inventory in designated locations within the distribution center, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for outbound shipments according to customer specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Prepare shipments for delivery, including staging, labeling, and loading onto trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, strictly adhering to safety guidelines and proper PPE usage.
- Assist with quality control checks to ensure product integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in operating various warehouse machinery.
- Ability to handle frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety regulations.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if required.
