Join our team as a Receiving Clerk in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and play a crucial role in managing our inventory and inbound logistics. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to ensure accuracy and efficiency in receiving all incoming goods. This position is fundamental to maintaining our supply chain integrity and supporting our operational goals. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate documentation and inspection of all shipments, ensuring they meet our quality and quantity standards. A strong commitment to safety is essential. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Unloading trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Identifying and documenting any discrepancies, damages, or shortages in received goods.
- Accurately entering receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tagging and labeling received items for proper put-away and inventory tracking.
- Coordinating with vendors and internal departments to resolve receiving issues.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Strictly adhering to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assisting with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting, as needed.
- Ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of goods from receipt to storage.
