Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping labels, documenting outgoing packages, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to accuracy are essential. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. While not as physically demanding as some other warehouse roles, there will be occasional lifting of packages up to 30 pounds. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Responsibilities:
  • Process and document all outgoing shipments.
  • Create shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Schedule pick-ups with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.).
  • Verify package contents against shipping orders.
  • Maintain accurate shipping logs and records.
  • Communicate with customers regarding shipment status when needed.
  • Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying contents.
  • Ensure all packages are properly packaged and secured for transit.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
