About
Our Dallas, Texas distribution center is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our Logistics team. This role is essential for ensuring that all incoming shipments are handled efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, and preparing goods for distribution. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to Safety. This position involves some Lifting and requires the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. We are committed to providing a safe workplace and expect all employees to follow our Safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accept and verify all incoming deliveries against shipping manifests and purchase orders.
- Inspect received goods for any damage or discrepancies and report issues accordingly.
- Accurately document all received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Unload materials from delivery vehicles and stage them for put-away.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Assist with inventory control tasks and stock verification as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure correct and consistent use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a receiving clerk or warehouse inventory role.
- Proficiency in using WMS and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, typically up to 35 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Familiarity with PPE.
- Experience within the Logistics industry is highly desirable.
