Our client, a well -established General Contractor in Canada with a strong portfolio of commercial, infrastructure, wastewater, and bridge projects, is seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team in Calgary. This role is ideal for a results -driven professional with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage complex civil construction projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with contract and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and review project budgets, schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining effective communication across all stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork on -site.
• Support estimating, tendering, and value engineering initiatives when required.
Requirements
• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil construction, including at least 3 years in a project management capacity.
• Proven track record delivering commercial OR civil projects.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and contract administration.
• Experience working with a self -performing or general contractor in the civil sector.
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem -solving abilities.
• Strong financial management and cost -control skills.
• Preferred: Experience managing projects valued between $5M–$100M.
