SMT GB is looking for a strategic, results-driven Head of Sales to lead our national sales strategy across New Equipment, Aftermarket, and Solutions. This is a rare opportunity to set the vision, inspire high-performing teams, and deliver game-changing results.
This role will be the driving force behind SMT GBs commercial success, defining and executing a bold sales strategy, ensuring we deliver sustainable growth and strengthen our position as the partner of choice in infrastructure, construction, aggregates, waste & recycling, and specialist plant hire.
What You'll Be Doing
Set the strategy: Shape and deliver a national sales plan aligned to SMT GBs 3-Year Growth Charter and Annual Operating Plan.
Deliver performance: Achieve ambitious revenue, margin, and market share targets across multiple channels.
Lead with purpose: Build a winning culture, develop future leaders, and foster collaboration across Aftermarket, Key Accounts, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Champion customers: Drive customer lifetime value through solutions-led selling and exceptional experiences.
Represent the brand: Be the voice of SMT GB with Volvo CE and across industry forums, enhancing visibility and unlocking new opportunities.
Requirements
Proven senior sales leadership with regional or national responsibility.
Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering growth in heavy plant equipment or similar sectors.
Expertise in business planning, OKRs, and performance governance.
Inspirational leadership style with the ability to motivate, influence, and deliver results at pace.
A full UK driving licence.
