Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, proficiency with various accounting software, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks accurately. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting both corporate and non-profit accounting functions. The successful applicant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, and reconciling accounts.

Duties

  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account analysis
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
  • Conduct payroll processing and related tax filings
  • Utilize accounting software QuickBooks
  • Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and financial analysis tasks
  • Reconcile accounts through detailed account analysis and double-entry bookkeeping methods
  • Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation activities
  • Support internal audits and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports

Experience

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit organizations
  • Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks
  • Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and tax preparation
  • Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account analysis, budgeting, and financial report writing
  • Prior experience in public accounting or technical accounting is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple accounts and deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
