*Job Summary:*
We are seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience and specialized expertise in geothermal systems, refrigerant handling, gas and oil systems, and advanced repair work. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional dedicated to delivering exceptional service to residential customers. This role involves diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards.
*Key Qualifications:*
· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a residential HVAC technician
· EPA Certification (mandatory)
· Proven experience with geothermal systems (installation, diagnostics, and repair)
· Strong knowledge of refrigerant handling and recycling
· Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing gas and oil furnace systems
· High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred
· Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
· Desired Certifications:
· NATE Certification or similar recognized industry certifications
· HVAC Technical School Certificate or equivalent education
· Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on residential HVAC systems, including geothermal, gas, oil, and refrigerant-based systems
· Conduct routine service inspections and address issues proactively
· Install and repair geothermal systems, following safety and operational guidelines
· Troubleshoot and repair refrigerant-based systems in compliance with EPA standards
· Service and maintain gas and oil systems with advanced troubleshooting capabilities
· Independently complete preventative maintenance tasks, including checklists
· Accurately and promptly complete all service-related paperwork
· Educate customers on maintenance agreements, targeting one agreement per four non-member service calls
· Recommend additional products, services, or replacement options to customers
· Perform filter changes and preventative maintenance on residential systems
· Collaborate with dispatchers and supervisors to ensure efficient service routing
· Participate in on-call rotations for emergency services
· Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues
