Dr. Squatch Bricc City continues to grow, and to facilitate our expansion, we are seeking an Incoming Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing inspections on incoming materials, per approved methods, procedures, and specifications. Inspectors interact with all levels of production management in assuring that all incoming materials and components meet required quality standards. This role will report to Quality Manager. This is a full-time, onsite role with company benefits based in Brea, CA. The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $18 to $19/hr. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates. What You'll Do:
Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and secondary components to ensure they meet specifications and include necessary documentation such as COA & SDS. Document all incoming inspections with proper documentation. Assist with (Scar Reports) supplier corrective actions. Quarantine and disposition
quarantine suspect or nonconforming materials, tag them clearly, and follow disposition procedures until QA or management approves release or return. Calibration and tool maintenance
ensure inspection tools are calibrated and in working order; report or remove faulty equipment from use. Supplier communication
escalate recurring issues to purchasing or supplier quality, provide inspection data, and support supplier corrective actions. Support audits and CAPA
provide inspection records during internal/external audits and participate in corrective/preventive action investigations when incoming issues are root causes. Sample incoming materials for retain and any testing deemed necessary. Continuous improvement
suggest improvements to incoming inspection plans, sampling frequency, and acceptance criteria based on trends and defect data. Review warehouse checklist daily. Ensure all employees in warehouse adhere to GMP guidelines. Assist with SOPs/WIs Other duties and responsibilities as required by management About You:
High School Diploma or GED and 2 year QA experience You are meticulous and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring no defect goes unnoticed You are comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively to meet inspection schedules You are a clear and concise communicator, able to document non-conformances accurately and discuss quality issues professionally You have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential quality risks Ability to communicate, write, and read in English Must be able to use and willing to learn how to use standard measuring equipment Basic computer literacy skills in Office Standard; Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Office Problem solver with a sense of urgency Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to take ownership. Excellent communication skills Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and eCommerce Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred.
