JOB TITLE: Security Architect JOB LOCATION: Quincy MA WAGE RANGE*: $90-$93 JOB NUMBER: ITS77-EHS-FY26-SECURITY ARCHITECT – 002-repost REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:5–7+ years of experience in IT architecture, security, and infrastructure roles. Deep understanding of enterprise architecture across infrastructure, security, and application domains. Hands-on experience with Layer 3 network design and troubleshooting; working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 7 protocols and related security controls. Strong ability to analyze, document, and communicate complex technical designs with clarity and precision. Proven capacity to quickly learn and evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. High attention to detail and a dedication to creating consistent, high-quality documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with IoT platforms and systems such as surveillance, VoIP, or sensor [1] based technologies. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP). Experience supporting architecture governance, security review boards, or technical oversight committees. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent credentials JOB DESCRIPTIONSupport the end-to-end architecture review process across EOHHS applications and infrastructure, including IoT, on-prem, SaaS, commercial cloud, and hybrid models. Develop, refine, and maintain detailed technical architecture documentation, with a strong emphasis on security, standardization, and scalability. Partner with internal teams (IT, networking, cloud engineering, facilities) to build and validate architecture and network diagrams. Identify architectural risks, security vulnerabilities, and documentation gaps and communicate them effectively to EOHHS leadership. Evaluate proposed solutions across infrastructure, applications, systems, and networking layers to ensure alignment with EOHHS standards in addition to Enterprise, program and business requirements. Provide technical oversight and project management support throughout the architecture review lifecycle. Maintain organized records of reviews, track project metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement of governance processes within EOHHS. Deliver compelling presentations and reports to technical and non-technical audiences, clearly articulating risks, recommendations, and architectural decisions.
