Meat Team Associate

• As a member of the meat team, you will provide support with duties related to counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the meat department.
• Ensuring a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Maintaining back stock in good order.
• Assisting with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Cleaning cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Arriving to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; working all scheduled shifts and attending required trainings and meetings.
• Providing excellent customer service, addressing needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and modeling suggestive selling techniques; answering phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizing sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Following and complying, or ensuring compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintaining, or ensuring maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintaining equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performing opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Immediately reporting safety hazards and violations.
• Performing other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The following skills and qualifications are required for this role:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
