About
We're seeking a talented Meat Department Team Associate to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you'll be responsible for ensuring a high-quality shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities- Maintain a visually appealing display of products, including checking quality and freshness, rotating stock, and performing other assigned tasks.
- Ensure back stock is properly maintained.
- Assist with sampling programs and maintain sample areas in a clean and appealing condition.
- Perform cleaning duties as required, including cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains.
- Arrive on time, appropriately groomed, and ready to work, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing needs promptly and effectively, and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
- Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
- Follow established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, and perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
- Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
- Sell proactively and provide excellent customer service.
- Learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.
- Visually examine products for quality and freshness.
- Read labels and familiarize yourself with various products.
- Assist with periodic inventory checks.
- Deliver information clearly and respectfully to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors.
- Meet customer service expectations and standards in interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members.
- Follow directions and procedures; demonstrate effective time management and organization skills.
- Possess a passion for natural foods and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Understand and comply with quality goals.
