About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring that our high standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met.


Job Description:



  • Lead the kitchen team in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our discerning customers

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs

  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts

  • Train and mentor junior staff members


Requirements:



  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or similar establishment

  • Proven track record of success in managing kitchen teams and achieving high standards of food quality and presentation

  • Strong knowledge of classical and modern cooking techniques, including but not limited to: open flame cooking, smoking, butchering, sous vide, fermentation, molecular gastronomy, plating, and pastry arts

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure

  • Experience with modern kitchen management tools and POS systems

  • Skilled in cost analysis, portion control, waste reduction, and inventory management software

  • Expertise in developing training modules for technical skills, sanitation, and safety procedures

  • Proficiency with advanced culinary equipment

  • Knowledge of advanced sanitation practices and HACCP standards, ensuring compliance and safety
